El Camino Financial Celebrates 5 Years

Established in 2021, El Camino Financial is celebrating five years of equipping financial planners with time-tested financial planning tools they can put to work today.

As we celebrate this milestone, we’re excited to share several updates that make ECF easier to access, easier to use, and more flexible for financial planning firms.

1. ECF Across Web, Mobile & Tablet

We’ve updated the ECF tablet experience to provide the same seamless functionality advisors have come to expect on the web and mobile.

Whether you’re working from your desk, sitting with a client and reviewing their financial picture on a tablet, or accessing ECF from your phone, the platform is designed to work across devices.

For advisors, that means greater flexibility in how and where financial planning conversations take place.

2. Get Started with Express Checkout

We’ve also made it easier to get started with ECF.

No sales demo required.

With Express Checkout directly from the ECF homepage, financial planners can get started with ECF without going through a traditional software sales process. As soon as you check out, someone from our implementation team with reach out to you.

We believe financial planning technology should be easy to understand, easy to implement, and easy to put to work.

3. ECF Connect – Flexible for Your Firm

ECF Connect gives financial planning firms flexibility in how they deliver financial planning technology to their advisors and clients.

With White Label, firms can customize the ECF experience with their own branding, creating a more consistent experience for their advisors and clients.

With Multi-Tenancy, organizations can support multiple firms, advisors, or teams from a shared ECF platform while maintaining separate environments for each.

Whether you’re an independent financial planner or an organization supporting multiple advisory teams, ECF can adapt to the way you do business.

4. What’s Next: A Better Way to Collect Documents

We’re also working on an ECF Document Vault.

Document collection is a vital part of the financial planning process, but the experience isn’t always as simple as it should be.

ECF’s founder, Sergio Campos, has worked with many different document vaults throughout his career and has seen too many fall short when it comes to a user-friendly experience—especially for clients.

That experience is helping shape what we’re building. Our goal is to create a secure and straightforward way for advisors and clients to collect, organize, and access the documents needed throughout the financial planning process, with particular attention to making the client experience simple and intuitive.

We’re excited to share more as development continues.

5. Five Years—and Continuing to Build

A lot has changed since El Camino Financial was established in 2021, but our focus remains the same: help financial planners focus on the fundamentals and put practical financial planning tools to work today.

Five years in, ECF continues to evolve while staying focused on making financial planning technology practical, accessible, and easy to use.

We’re grateful to the advisors, users, partners, and supporters who have been part of ECF’s first five years.
