Enhanced ECF Discovery process
On ECF, it all starts with our seven-step discovery process, which provides advisors with a repeatable, scalable way to gather vital client information.
In the latest iteration of our mobile app, we’ve made several enhancements to the ECF Discovery workflow, making it easier to navigate and more engaging for you and your clients. With less redundancy and clutter, you enjoy a more streamlined experience as you walk clients through the discovery process.

Within ECF Discovery, we’ve also updated the ECF Retirement Planning module. With ECF Retirement Planning, clients have all the most relevant data points related to their retirement available right in the ECF mobile app. Monthly minimum savings goal, total savings progress, and years to target retirement date are all there for your clients to see, so they understand where they are and can track their retirement savings progress.

New Portfolio Details section now available in ECF Mobile
Also new to ECF Discovery for mobile is the addition of the Portfolio Details module, which we previously launched on desktop in October 2025.
Rather than relying on third-party data aggregators that may introduce risks and errors into your financial planning process, ECF Discovery offers a simpler and more secure way to gather this information.

Once your client’s portfolio details are provided through ECF Discovery, the information is included in your client’s ECF Snapshot, providing an up-to-date holistic financial picture for your clients and your team to track.
A new way to share information with clients in ECF Mobile
We first introduced Shareable Links in October 2025 on our desktop application. Now, you can also access the feature through ECF Mobile.
Once you’ve collected the latest data from your client using ECF Discovery, you can share your client’s ECF Snapshot via a shareable link from your phone. Send it to clients, and they’re instantly taken to a financial overview on their mobile device or desktop computer.

ECF Snapshots allow advisors to provide clients with a moment-in-time view of their finances, including details like emergency fund ratio, net worth, savings percentage, and cash flow. Once a client clicks on the link, they will see a preview of their ECF Snapshot.
In this preview screen, clients can save the ECF Snapshot in their account. Regardless of whether the client saves it, the advisor retains access to the ECF Snapshot and can re-share it again at any time.
Behind-the-scenes technical updates to enhance the user experience
ECF Connect, the network behind our apps, is powered by our proprietary API that enables information sharing across different users and devices. The multi-tenant architecture silos firms from each other, which enhances security for advisors and their clients.
We built ECF Connect using React Native, an open-source JavaScript library developers rely on to create mobile apps for the world’s biggest companies, like Meta, Discord, and Tesla.
React Native recently announced the release of React Native 0.82, which results in a complete upgrade of ECF architecture. The updates ultimately result in a faster, more responsive, and more seamless experience for ECF clients.
